Why this bundle

A bulldog is put together a bit like a wheelbarrow: heavy at the front, short in the leg, long through the back. It works, but the load goes through joints that were never really designed for it, and it goes through them every day for years. This pair is maintenance rather than rescue. Joint and Bone Total Care supplies building blocks, and Fish Oil EFA DS at double strength is chosen to help support comfortable everyday movement. It tends to be most useful started before there is a limp, which is exactly when most owners do not think to start it. If your dog is already sore, or favouring one leg, please get a diagnosis first.

Common questions

Is this for a dog who already limps?

Not as a first step. A limp deserves a diagnosis, because what helps a maintenance case may not suit a torn ligament or a disc. This one is aimed at the dog who is doing fine and whose owner would like to keep it that way.

When is a sensible time to start?

Many owners start in the middle years, before anything hurts. Bulldogs load their joints hard from puppyhood, so earlier is generally easier than later.

How long before I might notice anything?

With maintenance the honest answer is that you may notice nothing dramatic, which is rather the point. Give it two to three months and judge it on willingness to move, not on any single good day.

Does size matter for dosing?

Yes. Dose by weight and label instruction. This version is sized for bulldogs 59lb and under.
