Zen for Bulldogs and French Bulldogs

I was recently asked by my friend, Emily, who was considering becoming a bulldog owner, to name the “Best Thing” about becoming a bulldog owner.

My reply was a quotation from ‘The 3 Best Things’ by Immanuel Kant“

  1. The third best is what everyone knows and talks about
  2. The second best is misunderstood
  3. and the first best is “IT”, but IT is impossible to describe, “IT” transcends the spoken written word”.

“Bulldog Ownership” transcends the spoken and written word

If you truly want to find out what “IT” is, you don’t necessarily have to become a bulldog owner. You can instantly experience “IT” by volunteering to a local rescue, even if you never had a bulldog before.

If you already have a bulldog, you have experienced “ZEN“. But to become a “Zen Master” (Bully Jedi), you must learn The Art of Bully Maintenance. And finally, if you aspire to achieve the highest level of BullyZen you need to become a Grand Master (Bully Yoda), by partaking in Bully Rescue.

A close friend who utilized Eckhart Tolle’s teachings in her meditative practice contributed to this Tolle

BullyZen to our forum. While Tolle is not identified with any religion, he uses teachings from many, such as Zen Buddhism, Sufism, Hinduism, and the Bible, in the course of his work. The New York Times referred to Tolle as “the most popular spiritual author in the United States”. The Watkins Review put him at number 1 in a list of “The 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living people.”

KIDS BULLDOG RESCUE SUMMER PROJECT

The Summer of Giving Back (Kids Bulldog Rescue Project)

Being a stay-at-home mom to Chase age 5, and Adriana age 9, I wanted to do something different with the kids during summer vacation. I am also a bulldog owner, and for over 20 years this one-of-a-kind breed has always given me so much love and pleasure. This GIVING theme drove my passion to compose a summer activity that I named “GIVING BACK,”  a notion I wanted to pass on to my kids and their friends.
