Why this one
A loose stool is mostly a water problem. The large intestine’s job on the way out is to reclaim water, and when it is irritated it stops doing that properly, so what should have been firm arrives as something you would rather not meet on the carpet at 6am. 🧻
The active here is a hydrated calcium aluminosilicate clay, and clay is a good word for what it does. It behaves like blotting paper: it binds bacterial toxins and takes up excess water as it passes through, which may help the stool come back to a normal shape and consistency. It is not absorbed into the body, it simply travels the length of the gut doing that job and leaves.
It is also vegan and hypoallergenic, which is deliberate. A dog with a touchy gut is often a dog with food sensitivities, and the last thing that gut needs is a remedy carrying a novel protein it then reacts to.
This is the one product in our gut range that is for today rather than for the long run. Use it when stools are loose, not as an everyday supplement. If things are not settling, or your bully is off their food, flat, vomiting, or there is blood, that is a conversation with your veterinarian, not a scoop of powder. A supplement may complement veterinary treatment, but your vet should decide what is appropriate.
