Why this bundle
A crusty, cracked nose or thickened paw pads is hyperkeratosis, which simply means the skin is making keratin faster than it wears away. In this breed it is usually just how the dog is built rather than something that went wrong. It will not cure, but it softens well and the dog is more comfortable for it. Crusty Hyperkeratosis Nose and Paw Balm is the workhorse and the Antiseptic XL Wipes keep the cracks clean, because a fissured pad picks up everything off the floor. Apply the balm at night when he is settled, so it stays on rather than being licked straight off.
