Why this bundle
Pyoderma means a bacterial skin infection, and the bacteria involved are almost always ones that were already living on your bulldog, minding their own business. They do not invade healthy skin. They move in when the surface stops holding them out.
Picture the skin as a brick wall. The bricks are the skin cells and the mortar is the oily, waterproof layer between them. In an allergic bulldog that mortar is thin and crumbling, so the organisms that always sat on the surface take root in the gaps. That is why pyoderma in this breed is so often a repeat visitor, and why killing the bacteria without repairing the wall is half a job.
What is in this one, and who it suits. Three products. The Yeasty Bully Antiseptic Shampoo is the weekly workhorse, with chlorhexidine and ketoconazole covering bacteria and yeast together, which matters because on bulldog skin they arrive together. The Yeasty Bully Antiseptic No-Rinse Gel covers the days between baths and the spots a bath misses. The Bulldog Immune Support Plus Chews work on the dog rather than the surface. This is the starter kit for a first or occasional flare.
