Washing a yeasty bulldog and nothing else is a bit like mowing a lawn and wondering why it keeps growing back. The bath deals with what is on top. It often does not touch why the skin became a comfortable place to live in the first place, which in bulldogs is frequently an allergic, irritated skin. Why add a chew to a washing routine?
Because in many bulldogs the yeast is the passenger rather than the driver. Allergic, inflamed skin is often what keeps giving it somewhere to settle, so working on both ends at once may help the result hold longer.
How long before I might see a difference?
The topicals often show first, sometimes within a fortnight. The chew is the slow half. Eight to twelve weeks is a fair trial, because you are waiting on new skin and coat to come through.
Can I use this with medication from my own vet?

Is this enough for a hot, painful ear?
Likely not. That is often a secondary infection needing a hands-on exam and proper cleaning first. You could then consider this for the skin underneath.
