When the mortar runs thin the wall still stands, but it lets moisture out and lets pollen, dust and yeast in, and that is usually when a bulldog starts rubbing, flaking and smelling a bit doggy. Omega-3 fatty acids are one of the raw materials that go into that mortar, and the amount provided by a dog’s diet varies. A daily EFA chew is a simple way to even that ratio out.
The focus is on prevention, this is a keep-up product, not a rescue. Give it every day rather than only on bad days, and give it a good few weeks before you judge it, because skin turns over slowly. If your pet appears ill, see your veterinarian, and while a supplement might complement treatment, that decision should be made with your veterinarian.
